A sober house for men dedicated to teaching the principles and practices of The Twelve Steps. Our philosophy is simple: Help people start to live a recovered life free from drugs and alcohol.

Merrimac Street Sober Living, in Laconia, NH, is a recovery residence in which chemically dependent men can start to rebuild their lives while living in a structured, supportive alcohol/drug free environment.
Our purpose is to help residents bridge the gap between intensive treatment and lasting independent sober living. We want to help residents build a strong foundation for continued sobriety and a healthier lifestyle.
Requirements
- Merrimac Street Sober Living requires that all residents remain abstinent from all mood or mind-altering substances.
- Residents must be at least 18 years of age.
- Residents must be working, attending school, and/or volunteering at least 20 hours per week within the first 30 days of move-in.
- Attend the weekly house meeting.
- Commit to being involved in a Twelve Step program.
- Get a sponsor within the first week.
- Join a home group and gain a service position in that group.
- Complete daily chore and abide by curfew, which is 11pm after the first 30 days.
